Save Organic Scraps

The Save Organic Scraps program has been a success thanks to hard work of the more than 80,000 Clark County students who participate in it each day. Each year Clark County Schools compost more than 1 million pounds of food, as well as recycle 2.2 million milk cartons, 8 million bottles and 8 million cans. So as you can see, the choices you make when you dispose of your lunch wastes make a big impact. All these resources get made into useful things, instead of just sitting in a land fill. Check out the many student resources we have here to learn more about what happens to your lunch waste, and you can get involved in improving your school's Save Organic Scraps program.
